State Bank of India (SBI) has said that everyday account holders will not be able to use net banking for some time. Apart from this, the bank has asked everyone to create a strong password for net banking.
State Bank of India (SBI), one of India’s largest public service banks, has issued an important notice for its net banking customers. The bank has said that there may be problems in net banking services for some time every day. This problem occurs due to daily system maintenance, which aims to improve the performance and security of banking services. Due to this update, customers may face some inconvenience, but its benefit will be seen in the form of better service in the long run.
SBI has stated that maintenance work is done during off-peak hours so that customer services are affected as little as possible. The bank has clarified that this process happens daily and during this time net banking services may be affected for a few minutes. In such a situation, if you want to do banking during this time, then you will have to be a little cautious or it will be better to use the services before or after this time.
You will have to face obstacles for this long time
SBI has said that there may be a 3 to 4 minute interruption in net banking services between 4:45 am and 5:45 am every day. Everyone should be prepared keeping this in mind. Along with this, the bank has asked its account holders to use the services in a safe manner and has made them aware.
The bank advised to set a strong password
SBI has taken several steps to further strengthen the security of net banking. Now OTP based system has been made mandatory for login in net banking. Apart from this, customers will have to change their login password every 180 days. Also, while logging in to net banking for the first time, it is necessary to set a different profile password, which has to be changed every 365 days. The password keeps the sensitive information of your account safe and to make it strong it is advisable to include letters, numbers and special characters.
Not only this, SBI has also provided Lock & Unlock User feature to net banking users, so that they can lock or unlock their internet banking access anytime. This makes control over account security even easier. All these initiatives of the bank are being done with the aim of giving better, safer and convenient online banking experience to the customers.
