According to a report in The Chosun, the South Korean company’s first triple-folding smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold, will launch on December 5th. The report states that the company has already begun preparations for this event. While details about the phone’s features haven’t been revealed yet, its display size has been leaked online. According to the report, sales of the phone will begin immediately after launch.
Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold: Possible display details and design
The report states that the Galaxy Z TriFold could feature a 6.5-inch outer display, similar to the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s screen. When the phone is fully opened, it will reveal a 10-inch flexible display, which will be larger than the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s 8-inch QXGA+ Dynamic AMOLED 2X Infinity Flex screen. The display is expected to have an adaptive refresh rate of 120Hz, 368ppi pixel density, and a peak brightness of 2,600 nits. The Galaxy Z TriFold will have a tablet-like aspect ratio.
According to the report, the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold will measure approximately 4.2mm thick when fully unfolded and approximately 14mm when folded. This phone is expected to feature a 5,600mAh battery, which is significantly larger than the 4,400mAh battery in the Galaxy Z Fold 7. However, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 supports 25W fast charging, Fast Wireless Charging 2.0, and Wireless PowerShare.
