The thing is, the iPhone Fold is expected to launch in Fall 2026. This is the moment Cupertino finally jumps into the race against Samsung and Google.

This is all thanks to that huge price tag. Apple captures a massive percentage of revenue simply because the average selling price (ASP) of their foldable will be three times higher than a standard smartphone, or nothing.

Apple’s late entry is what the market needed. The global foldable smartphone market was previously projected to grow by just 6 per cent year-over-year. That happened.
And then Apple announced their plans, pushing the forecast growth to a sharp 30 per cent for 2026. This isn’t just about Apple’s sales; it’s about the entire segment getting a huge boost in consumer interest.
The key rumored specs point to Apple focusing on quality and eliminating the common flaws:
