Vivo has officially raised the bar for mobile photography with the launch of the Vivo X300 Ultra and Vivo X300s in China. The “Ultra” model marks a historic first for the brand’s X-series, featuring a monstrous dual 200-megapixel camera system backed by Zeiss optics.
Expected to debut in India by May 2026, the X300 Ultra is being positioned as a “professional camera that happens to be a phone,” potentially challenging the dominance of the iPhone 17 Pro and Galaxy S26 Ultra.

Price and Availability (China vs. India Estimates)
| Model | Variant | Price (Yuan) | Price (Estimated INR) |
| X300 Ultra | 12GB + 256GB | 6,999 | ~₹95,021 |
| X300 Ultra | 16GB + 1TB (Satellite) | 11,999 | ~₹1,62,858 |
| X300s | 12GB + 256GB | 4,999 | ~₹67,894 |
Investigative Insight: The “Satellite Edition” & India Launch
The top-tier X300 Ultra features a Satellite Edition, allowing for two-way emergency messaging in remote areas. However, history suggests that the Indian variant (expected in May) may omit this feature due to local regulatory hurdles regarding satellite spectrum. Furthermore, the inclusion of IP69 rating is a significant jump; while IP68 protects against immersion, IP69 protects against high-pressure, high-temperature water jets. This indicates that Vivo is targeting outdoor enthusiasts and “adventure photographers” who need hardware that can survive extreme monsoons or dusty terrains—a perfect fit for the varied Indian climate.
