Even though the company has not officially announced it, this plan is now live on Airtel’s website and mobile app and customers can also recharge it.
This plan is specially designed for those users who want to use only calling and limited internet at a low cost or whose aim is to keep the mobile number active only. In this plan coming for less than Rs 200, users get 21 days of service validity which includes unlimited voice calling on all networks, 1GB data and 300 SMS.
This plan is not for those who use data heavily but for those who use the phone for normal calling and occasional messaging. Users who use internet or video streaming more will have to buy data top-up packs separately.
This new Rs 189 plan of Airtel is also being considered a strategic effort. While on the one hand the company is working towards increasing its average revenue per user (ARPU), on the other hand it also wants to retain low-spending users. This plan is special for those who recharge only to increase validity or who have a secondary SIM.
Jio’s ₹189 prepaid plan has emerged as a great option for those users who want to avail essential mobile services at low cost. This recharge pack has been specially designed keeping in mind those people who want to recharge for a short time and do not need much data. The validity of this plan is 28 days and in this, users are given the facility of unlimited calling. Along with this, 2GB data and a total of 300 free SMS are also included in the entire plan period. Not only this, for entertainment lovers, free subscription of apps like Jio Cinema, Jio Cloud and Jio TV is also available in this plan. For those who use mobile lightly and keep the phone only for calling or occasional internet browsing, this is an economical and useful option.
