Efforts are being made to stop online fraud

At this time, there has been a lot of increase in online fraud across the country. The government may soon bring a new rule to prevent fraud in bank accounts. Under the new rule, complete information will be available about the person taking the mobile sim and opening the bank account. Along with this, no other person will be able to use the details of any other person.

      EKYC will be necessary

According to the information received from media reports, in the coming times, it may be made mandatory for telecom operators and banks to do physical verification of customers. At present, whenever someone applies for opening a bank account and getting a SIM card, it is verified by taking details from Aadhaar through online e-KYC.

      SIM card is easily available

Let us tell you that for some time the cases of bank fraud are increasing very fast, the biggest reason for which has come to the fore is that people get SIM cards easily and people execute their plans by taking new numbers and after that I turn off that sim. According to a report by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), more than Rs 41,000 crore is involved in bank fraud cases.

      New rules will be issued

Now the government is preparing to change the process of issuing a new SIM card and opening a bank account. For this, it is being considered to tighten the KYC rules. According to information received from sources, the government may ask telecom operators and banks to implement new rules soon. The Ministry of Home Affairs has also held a review meeting on this issue with the Ministry of Finance and Telecom. The roadmap for this decision has also been discussed in the meeting.
