Tomorrow (December 6): The IMD’s sub-division warnings show no warning for Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikal.
The weather is likely to stabilize once this lingering system finally moves out—but not before one last, tough day of rain and waterlogging for Chennai and its suburbs. We already have reports of at least four deaths in rain-related incidents across North Tamil Nadu.
Civic teams are still working overtime to pump out excess water into canals to manage the severe flooding. Authorities are advising everyone to stay cautious in the waterlogged pockets.
