Oppo has officially confirmed that its next-generation photography powerhouse, the Oppo Find X9 Ultra, will make its global debut on April 21, 2026. Positioned with the bold tagline, “Your next camera is ready to launch,” the device is set to challenge the newly released Vivo X300 Ultra for the title of the year’s best camera phone.
The launch event, co-hosted with Hasselblad in Chengdu, China, will also introduce the Oppo Find X9s Pro, with both devices expected to hit Indian shores shortly after, following a recent BIS certification listing.

The Hasselblad “10x” Breakthrough
Oppo is doubling down on long-range fidelity, moving past the industry-standard 5x zoom to a native 10x optical system.
-
10x Periscope Telephoto: The Find X9 Ultra features a 50MP Hasselblad-tuned sensor capable of 10x optical zoom. This hardware-level magnification aims to provide DSLR-like clarity for distant subjects without the digital “smudging” seen in rivals.
-
The “Quick Button”: Teasers reveal a pressure-sensitive orange button on the frame. Similar to a traditional shutter, this dedicated “Quick Button” is expected to offer granular control over focus and exposure, mimicking a professional camera body.
-
Color Science: The partnership with Hasselblad continues, focusing on “Natural Color Calibration” and a dedicated XPan Mode for cinematic, wide-aspect ratio shots.
Power and Endurance: The 7,050mAh Milestone
To support the high power draw of 10x optical stabilization and 4K/120fps video recording, Oppo is introducing one of the largest batteries ever seen in a mainstream flagship.

Investigative Insight: The “Thin-Cell” Battery Race
The inclusion of a 7,050mAh battery in a flagship-dimension phone is a feat of material science. Oppo is likely utilizing the new Silicon-Carbon (Si-C) anode technology, which offers significantly higher energy density than traditional Lithium-ion. This allows for a massive capacity boost without making the phone excessively thick or heavy.
Furthermore, the 10x optical zoom is a direct response to consumer fatigue with “high-megapixel cropping.” While Vivo uses a 200MP sensor to “digitally” zoom in, Oppo is betting that pure optical glass (10x) will provide superior depth of field and low-light performance. With the April 21 launch approaching, the real question is whether Oppo can maintain the same weight balance as the X8 Ultra while nearly doubling the zoom hardware and battery size.
