      At present, there is no facility to transfer money online from post office account to bank account or from bank account to post office account. The government is preparing to provide this facility to the people soon.

      Right now, transferring money from one bank account to another bank account is done in a pinch. However, if money is to be transferred from the post office account to the bank account, then people have to face problems.

      Now these problems are going to end soon. The government is preparing that money can be easily transferred between post office and bank accounts in the same way as it is between two bank accounts at present.

      The government gave this information in the Lok Sabha

      Minister of State for Communications (MoS Communications) Devusinh Chauhan gave this information in the Lok Sabha in reply to a question. The minister was asked a question regarding the approval of online transfer of money between postal and bank accounts.

      In response, the minister said that the government would provide NEFT and RTGS to facilitate online money transfer from post office account to bank account and from bank account to post office account. working towards.

      Most of the post offices connected with core banking

      The Cabinet Minister also informed that so far 1,52,514 out of the total post offices in the country have been brought under the core banking system. There are currently 1,58,526 post offices across the country. This means that now only 6,012 post offices are left, which have not yet been connected to the core banking system.

      These plans are being considered

      Chouhan said that the government is taking steps to provide connectivity through Intermediate Data Rate Connectivity (IDR), Virtual Private Network Connection (VPN) and Very Small Aperture Terminal Connectivity (VSAT).

      Apart from these, there are plans to provide Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) based handheld devices and Point of Sale (PoS) devices for post offices located in rural and hilly areas.Live TV
