Realme P4 Lite 5G debuts in India with a 6,300mAh battery

Realme has further disrupted the entry-level 5G market Friday with the launch of the Realme P4 Lite 5G. Priced at a competitive ₹9,999, the device is squarely aimed at users prioritizing extreme battery longevity and 5G connectivity without breaking the bank.

The P4 Lite serves as the more affordable sibling to the standard P4 series, focusing on “essential” performance. With pre-orders already live on Flipkart and Realme’s online store, the device is set to become a primary contender for first-time 5G buyers.

Battery King: The 6,300mAh Powerhouse

The standout feature of the Realme P4 Lite 5G is undoubtedly its 6,300mAh battery. This capacity is significantly higher than the industry-standard 5,000mAh, promising up to three days of light usage on a single charge.

However, to maintain the budget price point, Realme has limited the charging speed to 15W wired charging. While the battery is massive, a full charge from zero will likely take over three hours.

Display & Design: Beach Gold to Sea Blue

The P4 Lite features a large 6.74-inch HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate. While the resolution is capped at 720×1,600 pixels, the high refresh rate ensures smooth scrolling in social media apps.

Design-wise, the phone adopts a modern aesthetic with three vibrant color options: Beach Gold, Obsidian Black, and Sea Blue. It also carries an IP54 rating, providing basic protection against dust and accidental water splashes.

Hardware: Unisoc T7250 and Android 15

Under the hood, the device is powered by the Unisoc T7250 chipset, an octa-core processor built on a 12nm process.

The camera setup is modest, featuring a 13MP rear sensor and a 5MP front camera. It supports 1080p video recording, making it sufficient for basic documentation and video calls.

Reality Check

Realme is marketing this as a “5G battery beast.” Still, the Unisoc T7250 is an entry-level processor. Therefore, while it handles 5G connectivity, users should not expect to run heavy games like Genshin Impact or even BGMI at high settings. In fact, the 4GB RAM will likely struggle with heavy multitasking. Furthermore, the HD+ resolution on such a large 6.74-inch screen results in a relatively low pixel density (roughly 260 PPI), meaning text may not appear as sharp as on Full HD panels.

The Loopholes

The “₹9,999” price tag includes a ₹1,000 instant bank discount or coupon. In fact, the actual retail price is ₹10,999. Therefore, if you don’t have the specific bank card, you’ll be paying slightly more than the headline price. Still, the 6,300mAh battery is a genuine hardware “loophole-closer” for those tired of carrying power banks, as it provides a level of endurance rarely seen in the budget segment.

What This Means for You

If you are looking for a secondary device or a phone for an elderly relative who forgets to charge their phone, the P4 Lite is an excellent choice. First, secure the ₹1,000 launch coupon on Flipkart before the sale begins on February 24. Then, opt for the 128GB variant (₹11,999) if you plan to store lots of media, as 64GB fills up quickly with modern apps.

Finally, realize that the 15W charging means you should charge this phone overnight. You should also pick up a protective case, as the glossy “Beach Gold” finish is likely to attract fingerprints. Before buying, check if your local area has strong 5G coverage, as the main draw of this phone—the T7250 chipset—is specifically optimized for low-power 5G reception.

What’s Next

Pre-orders are open today, February 20, 2026. Then, the official first sale will go live on February 24 at 12 PM. Finally, look for a “Realme P4 Pro” announcement rumored for late March, which is expected to feature faster charging and a Full HD display for a slightly higher price.
