      Important news for bank account holders. Now it is mandatory for bank account holders to keep such a balance in the account.       If you are an account holder of State Bank of India (SBI), HDFC, Axis Bank or ICICI Bank, then this news is very useful for you. . All these banks have implemented a mandatory rule related to savings account for their customers. In this rule, a condition has been laid for the customers to maintain minimum balance in the savings account. That is, now you have to keep the minimum balance fixed by the bank in the account, if you do not do this then the bank can impose penalty charge on you.

      Generally, some facilities and services are provided by the banks to the customers on opening the account. Certain terms or conditions are also set by the bank for using these services. Minimum balance is one such rule. Every bank decides the minimum balance amount according to its own. Because of this, the minimum balance amount of each bank is different. Recently, the minimum balance amount has been fixed by SBI, Axis Bank, ICICI and HDFC Bank.

      According to the information released by the banks-

      State Bank Of India-

      SBI has fixed the minimum balance for its customers on the basis of their residential area. That is, the amount of minimum balance will be different for people living in different areas. According to SBI, if you live in rural area, then the minimum balance amount for you is Rs 1,000, for people of semi-urban area, the minimum balance amount is Rs 2,000, while for people of metro city, SBI has set a minimum balance limit of Rs 3,000. has been fixed at Rs.

      HDFC Bank-

      HDFC Bank has also made the residence of the account holder the basis for the minimum balance. HDFC has fixed a minimum limit of Rs 10,000 for urban account holders, Rs 5,000 for semi-urban area and Rs 2,500 for holders of rural area.

      ICICI Bank-

      ICICI Bank has fixed the same minimum balance limit as HDFC. ICICI Bank has fixed a minimum balance limit of Rs 10,000 for account holders in urban areas, Rs 5,000 for semi-urban and Rs 2,500 for rural areas.

      Axis bank-

      Axis Bank has also fixed a minimum balance limit. ICICI Bank has fixed a minimum balance limit of Rs 12,000 for account holders in urban areas, Rs 5,000 for semi-urban and Rs 2,500 for rural areas.

      However, the rule of minimum balance limit issued by banks will not apply to special bank accounts such as Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, savings accounts of pensioners, salary accounts and savings accounts of minors.
