Vivo’s New Innovation!
Vivo is always coming with creative ways to market its smartphones and attract users!
In a video spotted by Android Authority on Weibo, the smartphone’s rear glass changes colors on pressing a button.
The promo-concept video shows the phone’s color as sapphire blue at the start. It then changes to a silvery finish when a button seems to be pressed.
It can be seen that the camera of the prototype smartphone has been hidden during the entire video. However, it does seem to resemble Vivo’s recently launched X50 series.
How Does This Feature Work?
The new feature of color-changing back panels uses electrochromic technology.
According to a tipster, the electrochromic glass backplate changes colors according to the voltage with the help of a color-morphing material.
This technology has been showcased before by OnePlus to hide the rear cameras and will act as a filter when the lenses are not in use. It was also supposed to give an advantage in brighter environments where the exposure is too much by default.
Vivo has said it is working to incorporate this technology into its new smartphones, however, it remains unclear whether battery life and cost structure of the smartphone will get affected by this new technology.

Both the Realme 7 and 7 Pro feature major changes to the camera setup compared to their predecessors
Realme will be launching the Realme 7 series in India on September 3. The Realme 7 series will have two phones- the standard Realme 7 and the premium Realme 7 Pro. It was in March this year Realme launched the Realme 6 series of phones and the company is already gearing up for the release of 7 series. Ahead of the launch, complete specifications of both the Realme 7 and 7 Pro have leaked online. The Realme 7 could be the first phone in India to feature MediaTek Helio G95 SoC, whereas the 7 Pro is said to offer the same Snapdragon 720G chipset like the Realme 6 Pro. Continue reading to know more about the leaked specifications of the Realme 7 series in detail.
Realme 7: Helio G95, 5000mAh Battery and 30W Charging Support
The leaked information coming from tipster Mukul Sharma suggests the Realme 7 will be a minor upgrade over the Realme 6. The handset could offer a 6.5-inch Full HD+ display with 90Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole to the front. There will be 120Hz touch sampling rate as well. The handset is rumoured to ship with MediaTek’s unannounced Helio G95 chipset, which will be an upgrade to the Helio G90T that was used on the Realme 6 and 6i smartphones. It might arrive in two variants- 6GB+64GB and 8GB+128GB. And yes, the fingerprint scanner will be located to the right side itself.
Cameras on the Realme 7 could include a 64MP Sony IMX682 primary sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, 2MP B&W Portrait and a 2MP macro sensor. To the front, we will have a 16MP shooter. The rear camera is said to offer 4K video recording at 30fps. Lastly, the Realme 7 will have a 5000mAh battery along with 30W fast charging support.
Realme 7 Pro: 65W Fast Charger and Snapdragon 720G in Tow
The Realme 7 Pro will be bringing the 65W fast charging feature to the mid-range segment, as the company has teased it already. The handset might sport a 6.4-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED screen and we may not see any high refresh rate this time around. Maybe Realme is looking to reduce the cost, but again, these are not the official specs so take this news with a pinch of salt.
It will make use of the same Snapdragon 720G SoC, coupled with up to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. Camera setup will be similar to Realme 7- 64MP Sony IMX682 primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter, 2MP B&W sensor and a 2MP macro sensor. Also, the company seems to be removing the dual selfie camera setup from the Realme 6 Pro as the leaks point out towards a single 32MP selfie camera on the 7 Pro.
Another addition to the Realme 7 Pro would be the stereo speaker setup. It will be interesting to see how Realme prices the 7 series of phones.
Samsung led the premium smartphone market in India with 37% market share majorly to its success of Galaxy A71 and A51 which contributed 38% and 13% respectively of its shipments

Oppo has filed a patent in China that shows what its futuristic device with extendable display would look like.
After pioneering in different areas in the smartphone industry, Oppo might be going after one more. The Chinese company might be looking to enter the foldable smartphone club with a rather futuristic approach that has not been thought of by others so far. It could be redeveloping foldable displays to become extendable, which could be used how sliding smartphones were.
In a patent, discovered by LetsGoDigital, Oppo has devised a new smartphone design that has the sliding mechanism for its display. There are 28 product images in the patent filed at the China National Intellectual Property Administration, better known as CNIPA. While I am not sure whether this new concept is something Oppo is willing to take up, but it is futuristic and shows how foldable smartphones can be rethought creatively.
The Oppo device will have a form factor of a touchscreen smartphone but a little a compact. But the device slides upwards to reveal a hidden part of the display. The display suddenly becomes full-fledges, similar to the ones we see on smartphones these days. There are no buttons on the screen except for one on the side. The leak claims this button could be responsible for triggering the entire display extension, but the schematics are a little unclear about this concept.
There are cameras as well on the back of the device, which remain exposed, irrespective of the change in display length. Normally, this gadget has a square design in a small format that can easily fit into pockets. From a larger viewpoint, this design does look similar to that on the Motorola Moto Razr, except for the mechanism they both have. Razr uses the bendable mechanism for the display — something that has been the industry standard for foldable devices and used on Samsung Galaxy Fold, Z Flip, and Z Fold 2.
Oppo has not detailed how its extendable display on the unnamed device would work. It has not provided any how-to for operating this device but there could be possibility Oppo is developing it. Much like other cases of patent, Oppo’s futuristic device may never leave the patent world, but if it does it might take some years before its commercial release is sought.
Oppo demonstrates a lot of devices in their prototype versions quite frequently every year, but they come out much later into markets. For example, the pop-up camera technology was demonstrated much earlier before they actually made it to markets. Oppo last year showed off its under-display camera technology. While it is yet to roll it out commercially, ZTE is launching a smartphone next month with the same tech.
OPPO F17 Pro Brings a trailblazing sleekest design and 6 AI-Camera Setup in a device tailor-made for trendsetters
With the sleekest design in the market and a mind-blowing 6 AI camera setup, the OPPO F17 Pro promises to be the trendsetter of 2020.
OPPO’s F series is renowned for its blend of amazing design and functionality that gives you bang for your buck. The trendsetting series came into existence in 2016, and ever since then, it has been laying the foundation of era-defining smartphones that are simply one-of-their-kind. The F17 Pro adds a new dimension to this legendary series, making high-class design and cutting-edge technology available at a most compelling price point.
Casting just a glance at the F17 Pro is impossible. Because its brilliant features just shines through and converts every glance into a stare. This being an OPPO phone, the F17 Pro comes with the best-of-its-class cameras. There are six of them in all- four at the back and two in that dual punch hole. On the back are a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide sensor, and a pair of 2MP mono sensors. In the front are a 16-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. All of them combine with OPPO’s AI muscle to deliver some brilliant images, irrespective of whether it is night or day.
Portraits, in particular, move to the next level with AI Colour Portrait which allows you to retain colour in some parts of a picture while removing it from others; AI Super Night Portrait that lets you take fantastic portrait shots even at night; AI Night Flare Portrait which brightens up images shot even in low light; and Dual Lens Bokeh that allows you to add bokeh to images even with multiple people and yes, even in videos. There is also AI Super Clear Portrait that uses AI to even clear up blurry shots and AI Beautification 2.0 that is customized for Indian beauty preferences, preserving natural skin tones. Add to that the truckload of preferences that are part and parcel of the camera app of every OPPO device and the F17 Pro emerges as one of the best cameras in its segment.
The phone’s sleek look is simply incomparable. The front is dominated by a bright and colourful 6.43-inch Super AMOLED FHD+ display with a dual punch hole. The bezels have been kept to a minimum and the punch holes have been made as small as possible to make the F17 Pro as much an all-screen front as possible. Videos, games, and even text are a joy to see on this screen, and well, it is a smart display as well – beneath it lies an In-Display Fingerprint Unlock 3.0 that can unlock the phone in less than half a second. Flip the F17 Pro and get ready to be dazzled by the shiny matte texture that reflects and refracts light in different patterns, making the phone a delight to behold and nothing quite like anything we have seen. The best part is that it actually comes with a fingerprint-resistant finish that uses a new optical coating technique that increases the coating depth from 250 nanometers to 400 nanometers, increasing the interplay of light on it.
It is not just about the front and back, though. Even the sides of the F17 Pro have been meticulously crafted. The phone is incredibly slim at 7.48 mm, but unlike other smartphones which end up having sharp sides while making their bodies thinner, the F17 Pro comes with an
Industry-first 220° rounded edge design technique, which allows a phone to be thin even while providing a comfortable grip. Above all the phone just weighs gm. Available in Magic Blue, Metallic White, and Matte Black, the F17 Pro is one of those rare phones that not only looks great but feels great too.
Right from the incredible camera setup, to the design, the OPPO F17 Pro is a surely a trendsetter for millennials.
