India’s leading telecom operator Vi (Vodafone Idea) has made a great announcement for its 2G handset users. Vi has guaranteed 24 days of extra validity to 2G customers under the ‘Vi Guarantee Program’. This offer has come into effect from today and is for those customers who take unlimited voice recharge packs of Rs 199 or more. This step has been taken to provide relief to those users who use less data and often face problems in the recharge cycle.
Features of Vi Guarantee Program
This new program of Vi is specially designed for 2G handset users who depend on voice-only or low data usage plans. Usually with 28-day validity packs, customers had to recharge twice a month, leading to service interruptions.
The Vi Guarantee Programme solves this problem. Now customers on unlimited voice recharges of Rs 199 or above will get 24 days of additional validity, increasing their validity from 28 days to 30 days. This benefit will be credited as 2 days additional validity with every unlimited voice recharge over a period of 12 months. This offer is for customers who use 2G handsets and take recharge packs of Rs 199 or above.
Vi plans and benefits
Vi has released a list of select recharge packs on which this additional validity will be applicable. These plans are for Assam, North East, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Rajasthan circles.
- Vi Rs 199 pack: This plan offers unlimited calls + 2GB data + 300SMS, 28 days validity, and 2 days extra validity (total 30 days).
- Vi Rs 209 pack: This plan offers unlimited calls + 3GB data + 300SMS + caller tunes, 28 days validity, and 2 days extra validity (total 30 days).
These packs may vary slightly for different circles, but the benefit of extra validity will remain the same for all. Customers can opt in for this offer through the Vi app or by using USSD code *999# or calling 121.
