Tomorrow i.e. on Wednesday, March 30, in the cabinet meeting, the government can announce the increase in DA (Dearness allowance Hike). Apart from this, the decision can also come on the outstanding DA arrears of 18 months.

If it is approved, then along with the salary of the employees for March, the new DA will be credited to the account.
Along with the increase in dearness allowance (Central government employee DA), arrears for January-February will also be given. There is a total increase of 3% in dearness allowance. At present, DA is getting 31 percent.

After a long wait, 3% increase in Dearness Allowance has been fixed. Now employees and pensioners will get Dearness Allowance (DA Hike) at the rate of 34%. There has been a decrease of one point in the December 2021 index of the Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AICPI Index).

In November, this figure was at 125.7 points. and decreased by 0.24% in December. But, this has not affected the increase in dearness allowance. After the figures of AICPI IW of the Labor Ministry, it has been decided that this time the dearness allowance will increase by 3 percent.

According to Labor Ministry data, the AICPI-IW index had gained 0.8% in November 2021 and reached 125.7. It was clear from this that there would be an increase of 3 percent in dearness allowance. The DA of government employees is currently 31 percent. Now after an increase of 3 per cent, it will reach 34 per cent.
