Employees have high hopes on 18 months arrears
In fact, after the Corona period, the central government had increased the dearness allowance by 11 percent outright from July 1, 2020, but the arrears of dearness allowance made during that period have not yet been given to the employees. Despite the continuous demand, last year the Finance Ministry said that arrears will not be paid in lieu of freeze dearness allowance. Due to this decision of the government, there is disappointment in the employees organization and they are constantly adamant on their demand. At present, the dearness allowance of central employees has increased from 34 per cent to 38 per cent. Now pensioners and employees have hope from the government that in view of the rising inflation, the government can agree with the employees, and a decision can come soon.
