The Narendra Modi-led government is expected to pay dearness allowance (DA) arrears of 1.5 years or 18 months simultaneously to central government employees of Rs 2 lakh.
7th Pay Commission DA Arear Big Update: The Narendra Modi-led government is expected to give 1.5 years or 18 months Dearness Allowance (DA) arrears of Rs 2 lakh to central government employees simultaneously. Employees are continuously demanding withheld DA from January 2020 to June 2021.
According to media reports, the government is planning to give a lump sum of Rs 1.50 to government employees. If this happens, a lot of money will come together in the salary of government employees.
There is also a demand to increase dearness allowance
The dearness allowance is expected to be increased by 3 per cent to 34 per cent with effect from January 1, 2022. According to media reports, the employees will be given full salary in the month of March, which may also include DA arrears. This DA arrear will be of January and February salary. However, no announcement has been made on this by the government yet.
Government is considering DA arrears
The government employees expected that the government would consider giving DA arrears and find a solution soon. According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary (Staff Side) of the National Council of JCM, the council has placed a demand from the government but no solution has been found so far. According to Mishra, a joint meeting of JCM with officials of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and the Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure is to be held soon.
DA arrears will get Rs 2 lakh
The DA arrears of Level-1 employees will be between Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,000. At the same time, Level-13 employees will get Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 as DA arrears. DA is given to government employees and public sector employees and pensioners. It is given to the employees to help them with their living expenses.
