7th Pay Commission Latest Update: The rules regarding LTC air ticket booking have been changed. The government has issued some guidelines regarding this in the memorandum.

7th Pay Commission Update: The Central Government has changed the rules regarding air ticket booking of government employees. The Personnel and Training Department has amended the instructions for booking air tickets on Leave Travel Concession (LTC) government account.

In a memorandum issued on October 20, DoPT said that the change in the rule is for those people whose claim has not been received yet and they do not have any proof of air ticket booking done through a travel agent as of August 29, 2022. The government said in the guidelines that three registered travel agents M/s Balmer Lawrie & Company Limited (BLCL), M/s Ashok Travels & Tours (ATT) and Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Limited will have to provide flight details. Keeping all these things in mind, if an employee books an air ticket for the purpose of LTC on the website of registered travel agents, it will be deemed that the ticket booked by the individual Government employee was the cheapest fare under the guidelines. However, all agents will issue tickets with LTC written on them for LTC journey.

In all such cases where non-entitled government employees have to travel by air directly from their headquarters to the place of journey in NER, Jammu and Kashmir, A&N, Ladakh under the Special Concession Scheme, the government employee will have to take the printout.
