DA hike may happen before Holi

The government revises both DA Hike and DR Hike twice a year. For the first time, the government revises DA on 1st January and then on 1st July. By increasing these two, about 48 lakh central employees and 68 lakh pensioners will benefit. Looking at the trend of last year, it is being speculated that the government may hike DA before Holi. DA Hike may be from March but it will be implemented from the month of January only.

DA Hike happened in these states last year

Last year around Diwali, the central government had announced DA Hike for its employees. After the announcement of DA Hike, many states like Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Assam, Rajasthan, Jharkhand and Odisha had announced increase in DA for their employees.

This is why DA Hike is done

Let us tell you that in order to deal with inflation, the central government hikes the DA of its employees. This dearness allowance is given to the employees, dearness relief to the pensioners. The calculation of DA is decided through some percentage on basic salary, now it is 38% DA, then your DA will be 38% of basic salary.
