7th Pay Commission Latest Update: The month of August has passed and the month which the central employees were eagerly waiting for has arrived. Central employees and pensioners can get a big gift of increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief in this month i.e. September.
According to the news going on in the media, the government may soon announce a hike in DA and DR. It is being told that in the cabinet meeting to be held this month, the government can give green signal to increase in DA and DR.
In the AICPI index released by the Ministry of Labour, the dearness allowance has been paid at the level of 46.24 percent till June 2023. In such a situation, it is expected that the government can increase it to 46 percent.
Actually, the government announces the increase in dearness allowance and dearness relief only on the basis of the figures of AICPI index. In such a situation, if the government increases the dearness allowance by four percent,
then it will reach the level of 46 percent from 42 and more than 1 crore central employees and pensioners will be greatly benefited by this. However, its official announcement has not been made by the government yet.
At present, central employees and pensioners are getting DA and DR at the rate of 42 percent from January 1, 2023. Let us tell you that the increase in dearness allowance will be considered applicable from July 1, 2023 only.
If there is an increase of 4 percent in dearness allowance, then central employees can get benefits ranging from Rs 8,000 to Rs 27,000 annually.
