7th Pay Commission DA Hike: Himachal Pradesh government has given good news to lakhs of employees of the state. Cheering lakhs of state government employees, the Himachal Pradesh government announced a 3% hike in Dearness Allowance (DA) for them.
This announcement was made by Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu on the occasion of 76th Himachal Day. Pensioners and state government employees will now get 34 per cent DA. Earlier these employees used to get 31 percent DA. This decision of the state government will benefit about 2.15 lakh employees and 1.90 lakh pensioners.

Center hiked DA by 4%
Recently, the central government had increased the DA of central government employees and pensioners from 4% to 42% from January 1, 2023, after which the Himachal Pradesh government has increased the DA of the employees. The state government has given some relief to the employees by increasing the DA amid inflation and rising prices of food products for a long time.
Government gave special gift to women-
Apart from the DA hike, the Himachal Pradesh government has also announced a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500 to all 9,000 women of Spiti above the age of 18 years from June 2023 in the second phase. This was promised in the Congress manifesto.
Every home Lakshmi, Women’s Honor Fund-
Under the initiative named ‘Har Ghar Lakshmi, Nari Samman Nidhi’, work will be done to empower women. Apart from this, Sukhu has also announced a 50-bed Community Health Center (CHC) and a college in Kaza. He said that in the third phase of the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, the road from Atargu to Madh in Pin Valley would also be constructed at a cost of Rs 34 crore.
