Adani Group will invest Rs 60000 crore in airport business, what is the whole plan?

Adani Enterprises Ltd: Adani Group is planning to invest rapidly in the coming times to advance its airport business. For this, the group plans to invest Rs 60,000 crore in the next 10 years.

Adani Airport Business: Adani Group is planning to make a big investment in the airport business. In the coming ten years, the Gautam Adani-led group is planning to invest Rs 60,000 crore to expand its airport-related business. This huge investment is being made to further increase the earnings from the seven airports run by the group. About half of this amount i.e. Rs 30,000 crore will be spent in five years to improve the terminal and runway of the airport.

Navi Mumbai airport expected to be operational by March 2025

The remaining Rs 30,000 crore will be used to develop infrastructure in the cities around the airports in the coming 10 years. The group plans to spend a total of Rs 60,000 crore. However, the Rs 18,000 crore already earmarked for the first phase of Navi Mumbai Airport is different from this. This airport is expected to be operational by March 2025. Adani Airports Holdings Limited (AAHL) CEO Arun Bansal said that the company will complete this project with its own profits.

Adani Enterprises will fund

Arun Bansal, while talking to the media after the inauguration of the new terminal of Lucknow Airport by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, said, ‘This is a huge amount. But Adani Enterprises Limited (AEL) will help in completing it with its profits. We are still in the initial stages and Adani Enterprises Limited is our parent company, the funding will be done there only.

The group is managing 6 airports in the country.

Currently, 6 airports in the country are being managed by Adani Group. These airports include Lucknow, Ahmedabad, Jaipur, Guwahati, Thiruvananthapuram and Mangaluru. In the year 2021, after taking over Mumbai Airport from GVK Group and purchasing Navi Mumbai Airport, this number has increased to eight. Arun Bansal estimated that by the year 2040, these airports will have a capacity of 25 to 30 crore passengers.

Prepared at a cost of Rs 24000 crore

Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new terminal T3 at Lucknow’s Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport (CCSI). It has been prepared at a cost of Rs 24000 crore. T3 will provide service for domestic and international flights. It will have the capacity to handle 4,000 passengers during peak hours. On this occasion, Karan Adani, MD of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Limited, said that our planning for Lucknow Airport is big.

Karan Adani said, our planning is to expand the airport capacity to handle 3.8 crore passengers annually by 2047-48. This is the basis of Uttar Pradesh’s strategy to create a trillion dollar economy. He said that we are not only building an airport but are also creating direct and indirect employment opportunities for more than 13,000 people in the coming time.
