ATF Rate Reduced: The trend of increase in aviation fuel or jet fuel has stopped after four months and it has become cheaper in November. ATF rates have become cheaper by about 6 percent and this has given a reason for the cheap air fares.

ATF Rate Reduced: Festive season is going on in the country and on one hand the prices of commercial LPG have become expensive while on the other hand domestic Oil Marketing Companies (OMC) have also given relief. Today, the reduction in the prices of ATF or Aviation Turbine Fuel has come into effect from 1st November. In the country’s capital New Delhi, the rates of jet fuel or aviation fuel have become cheaper by Rs 6,854.25 per kilolitre.

Know how much ATF rates decreased from today

The prices for ATF have been released on the website of the government oil marketing company Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). ATF prices in Delhi have decreased to Rs 1,11,344.92 per kiloliter from today. Last month in October, its rate was Rs 1,18,199.17 per kilolitre. In this way it has decreased by Rs 6,854.25 per kilolitre. If seen in this way, the prices of ATF have decreased by 5.8 percent compared to last month.

Know how much ATF prices have decreased in your city

The rate of ATF in Kolkata has come down to Rs 1,19,884.45 per kiloliter and it has become cheaper by Rs 6,812.63. In October, these prices were at Rs 1,26,697.08 per kilolitre.

The price of ATF in Mumbai has come down to Rs 1,04,121.89 per kiloliter and it has become cheaper by Rs 6,470.42. In October, this rate was Rs 1,10,592.31 per kilolitre.

The price of ATF in Chennai has come down to Rs 1,15,378.97 per kiloliter and it has become cheaper by Rs 7,044.95. In October, this price was Rs 1,22,423.92 per kilolitre.

New prices applicable from today

The new prices of ATF have come into effect today from 1 November 2023. ATF prices have come down after increasing for four consecutive months. In September 2023, the price of ATF in Delhi was Rs 1.12 lakh per liter.

Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) had given a big blow in October by making air fuel expensive and ATF prices in the capital Delhi had increased by Rs 5500 per kiloliter i.e. 5.50 percent as compared to September. After the increase in the price of crude oil, an increase in the price of ATF was seen, but this month there is relief due to the decline in the rate of ATF.

The price had increased on September 1 also

An increase in ATF prices was also recorded on September 1. Including the increase in the price of air fuel in the month of October, the price of air fuel had been increased four times in a row. Even on July 1, oil companies had increased the price of ATF by 1.65 percent.

Cheap ATF expected to reduce air fares in festive season

With the beginning of November, people have started going to their homes in large numbers on the occasion of Diwali and Chhath. In such a situation, it is expected that the effect of reduction in the price of air fuel will be visible on the air fares also and it is believed that the airline companies can pass on the benefit of cheaper ATF to the customers.
