Because the country’s second largest government bank is going to make new rules for PNB customers. Whose burden will directly fall on the pocket of the common people. Preparing to charge you 10+ GST ​​on cash withdrawal transaction if ATM transaction is not completed due to insufficient funds in your account .

If your transaction fails while withdrawing money from the ATM or the ATM transaction is not completed due to insufficient funds, then you are set to be charged 10+ GST ​​on the cash withdrawal transaction. PNB will implement this rule from 1 May 2023. This means you will have to pay 10+GST on domestic ATM cash withdrawal transactions that fail due to insufficient funds in the account.

PNB is making this preparation

Explain that the bank is in the process of changing the debit card and prepaid card issuance fees and annual maintenance fees. If you make payment through POS and debit card while purchasing any goods. And there is no balance in the account and the transaction fails. Even in this situation, the bank is also planning to impose penalty on e-com transactions.

These are the important things

  • PNB can issue debit cards and prepaid cards and change the annual maintenance charge.
  • Bank will start levying charges on PoS and e-Comm transactions (Domestic/International) done through Debit Card if there is insufficient balance in the account.
  • If your card is stolen, you should immediately block or hotlist the card in case of loss or theft of the card.
  • In case of lost card you can send SMS (Hotcard number) eg. SMS 5126520000000013 to 5607040 from your registered mobile number. This will block your card.
  • Customer can get account related information by calling 24 hours toll free helpline number 1800 180 2222, 1800 103 2222 or through paid helpline number 0120-2490000 at Helpline Call Centre.
  • Emergency services, debit card hotlisting, on the go option through PNB Internet Banking.
  • By logging into PNB One and going to Debit Card, Hotlist Debit Card option.
  • The Debit Card cannot be de-hotlisted once hotlisted. After this you will have to get a new debit card made.

Pay special attention to this

According to the PNB website, do not divulge details of customer account/debit card/internet banking/mobile banking/password/pin number/OTP/email-id to anyone. Beware of e-mails/calls/SMS asking for such information. In any of these cases, change your password/PIN. With this, no one will be able to do fraud with you.
