Exemption to States and Union Territories

The governing panel of Ayushman Bharat scheme has given freedom to the states and union territories to take a decision in this regard. Under this, on the suggestion of the governing panel, states and union territories will be able to book unspecified surgical packages up to Rs 5 lakh.

List of medical procedures given

Apart from this, the states will be able to decide the price of Health Benefit Packages (HBPs). A list of medical procedures has been given to the card holders. He can select the package according to his area in it.

Scheme was launched in 2018

Let us tell you that the Ayushman Bharat program was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the year 2018. This scheme was started for crores of Indians who could not afford medical facilities.

It was told by the National Health Authority (NHA), the department that executes the scheme, that all medical procedures have been covered under this scheme. In some cases the patient has to undergo surgery or treatment.
