Bank holidays in May : According to the holiday calendar schedule of the Reserve Bank of India, banks in India will remain closed for 14 days in May 2024. This includes Sunday and second and fourth Saturdays. According to the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) holiday list notes, banks will remain closed in some states on May 1, 2024 on the occasion of Maharashtra Day and Labor Day.

23 May – Buddha Purnima (Thursday) – Banks closed in Tripura, Mizoram, Madhya Pradesh, Chandigarh, Uttar Pradesh, Arunachal Pradesh, Jammu, Lucknow, Bengal, New Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand, Himachal Pradesh, Srinagar.
