All existing checks will have to be replaced with new checks before February 28, 2022. After this date, checks with old MICR code will not be accepted. 

Customer Alert : In the last days due to merger of banks, the old check books of many banks had to be updated by the customers. Now due to the merger of a bank again, the old check book with its customers will not run from February 28. In such a situation, this news is very useful for the bank customers. IFSC and MICR codes changed

This news is useful for DBS Bank India Limited (DBIL) and Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB) customers. Let us tell you that DBS Bank India Limited (DBIL) has merged with Lakshmi Vilas Bank (LVB).

After this the IFSC and MICR codes of all the branches have changed. The new IFSC and MICR codes issued by the bank are active from 25 October 2021. The old IFSC code will be changed from 28 February 2022.

New IFSC code needed from March 1

According to the information given by DBIL, the customers of this bank will need a new IFSC code to make money transactions through NEFT / RTGS / IMPS from March 1, 2022. For this, DBIL had also informed the customers about changes in branches through email and SMS by sending letters.
