Since the announcement of DA, unions of central employees have been continuously demanding arrears, while pensioners have also appealed to Prime Minister Modi. According to media reports, if the employee’s basic salary is Rs 18,000, then he can get 3 months’ outstanding DA arrears (4,320+3, 240+4,320) = Rs 11,880. This will include Rs 4320 for Jan 2020, Rs 3240 for June 2020 and Rs 4320 for Jan 2021. If the basic pay of the employee is Rs 56,000 then he will get DA arrears of 3 months (13,656 + 10,242 + 13,656) = Rs 37,554. (These figures are shown as an example, they are subject to change.)
