CM Manohar Lal, who arrived in Gurugram on Wednesday, discussed each and every topic with the officials regarding increasing metro connectivity at PWD Rest House.

During the meeting, the plan of metro connectivity from Palam Vihar area of ​​Gurugram to Dwarka Sector-21 of Delhi was discussed in depth. During this it was decided that a study will be done about laying underground lines for the last one and a half kilometer in the part of Delhi.

The officials told the CM that the study report would be submitted in 15 days and after that the final project report would be prepared. The state government is working on the expansion plan of Delhi Metro in old Gurugram and a corridor of about 37 km is to be developed beyond HUDA City Center metro station. Like the Ringmann system, the corridor will pass through the old Gurugram area and connect to the Rapid Metro station in front of Ambience Mall.

The state government wants that Dwarka should also be connected with Gurugram, for this, preparations have started in the direction of developing the corridor from Palam Vihar to Dwarka Sector-21. Once the corridor is developed, most areas of Gurugram will have metro connectivity. The proposed metro line from Palam Vihar to Dwarka Sector-21 will benefit the people of Gurugram as well as the people of West Delhi.

Stations will be at these places

There will be a total of seven stations on it. Out of these, four stations in the limits of Gurugram district will be made Rejangla Chowk, Chauma, Sector-110 and Sector-111 in Palam Vihar area, while three stations in Delhi area will be made Dwarka Sector-28, Dwarka Sector-25 and Dwarka Sector-21. Palam Vihar and Dwarka Sector-21 will be interchange stations. It will be connected to DMRC’s Blue Line and the project will cost around Rs 2,281 crore.
