The Directorate of Education announced on Wednesday that the winter vacation in Delhi schools for the academic session 2023-24 has been shortened from 15 to six days. The revised vacation period will now start on January 1, 2024.
“Nevertheless, to safeguard our students from the negative impacts of poor air quality in Delhi, a segment of the winter vacation was observed from November 9 to November 18,” stated the circular.
The remaining portion of the winter vacation for academic session 2023-2024 is set to be observed from January 1 to January 6, 2024.
“The Department of Education instructs all School Heads in Delhi to share this information with everyone involved, including teachers, non-teaching staff, students, and parents,” stated the DoE.
