  • New Dearness Allowance (42%) Rs 23,898/month
  • New Dearness Allowance (42%) Rs 286,776/annum
  • Till now dearness allowance (38%) Rs 21622/month
  • How much dearness allowance increased 23898-21622 = 2276 rupees / month
  • Increase in annual salary 2276 X12 = Rs 27,312

Decision on DA arrears of 18 months is also possible

After the increase in dearness allowance, a decision can also be taken on the DA arrears of employees and pensioners stuck for a long time for 18 months. According to media reports, after Holi, the Modi government can take a big decision on the outstanding DA arrears from July 2020 to January 2021.

Since it has been a demand of the employees-pensioners for a long time, it can be considered in view of the upcoming elections and the rapidly rising demand for the old pension scheme. It is believed that if the Modi government accepts the demand of outstanding DA under the 7th Pay Commission, then the amount of 12 thousand to 2 lakh can come in the bank account of the employees.

Who will get arrears, see full calculation

  • Shivgopal Mishra of the National Council of JCM says that the DA arrears of Level-1 employees ranges from Rs 11,880 to Rs 37,554. Level-13 (7TH CPC Basic Pay Scale Rs 1,23,100 to Rs 2,15,900) Or if the calculation is done for Level-14 (pay-scale), then Rs.1,44,200 to Rs.2,18,200 will be paid as dearness allowance arrears in the hands of an employee.
  • If the employee’s basic pay is Rs.18,000, he can get the outstanding DA arrears for 3 months (4,320+3,240+4,320) = Rs.11,880. If the employee’s basic pay is Rs.56,000, he can get (13,656 + 10,242 + 13,656 ) = DA arrears of Rs 37,554 will be available.
  • Level-13 (7TH CPC Basic Pay-Scale Rs.1,23,100 to Rs.2,15,900). For Level-14 (Pay-Scale) the DA Arrears Rs.1,44,200 to Rs.2,18,200. The employees will get the money of DA arrears according to their salary band.
