According to the Meteorological Department, the sight of Gulmarg will be covered with snow cover in the beginning of this week. Tourists will be able to take advantage of the panoramic view. At the same time, IMD Alert has expressed the possibility of snow and rain. After the snowfall activity stopped from Monday, once again there is a possibility of snowfall and rain in the region including Jammu and Kashmir. The western disturbance has become active, due to which rain warning has been issued in 7 states including Delhi.

The India Meteorological Department has predicted snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh with widespread and moderate rain. Apart from this, snowfall will continue in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Himachal and Uttarakhand on November 9 and 10.

Western disturbance

Due to the fresh western disturbance in the Meteorological Department, the effect of the weather will change in the Western Himalayan region from today. Western Disturbances cause post-monsoon winter rains over low-lying areas especially in winter and heavy snowfall in hilly areas in North-West India. During this, heavy snowfall can be seen in Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh. At the same time, the weather will be colder due to drizzle in some parts of Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, North India and Uttar Pradesh including capital Delhi.

One to two percent drop in temperature will be recorded in the capital Delhi, the sky will remain cloudy, drizzle may be seen in some areas, due to the cold winds coming from the north side, there is a possibility of fog. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has indicated more increase in cold in the coming week.

Drizzle in many areas of Uttar Pradesh

The effect of Western Disturbance will be in Uttar Pradesh. Many areas of Uttar Pradesh may see drizzle, for this an alert has been issued in the Meteorological Department, people have been advised to be alert, there will be a further decline in the effect of cold winds at night. The period of drop in temperature will continue, the weather will be cloudy due to the knock of haze and fog.

Cold winds in bihar

Cold winds continue in Bihar, the temperature continues to drop drastically in many major cities of Patna Muzaffarpur city. People are troubled by the cold morning and evening. According to Patna Meteorological Centre, the weather remained dry. There will be a further drop of three to four percent in the temperature. In many districts including Vaishali Begusarai, the maximum temperature is going down considerably. The circulation of cold winds has increased. The maximum temperature recorded in Patna is 30 degree Celsius. At the same time, the downward trend in the minimum temperature is also continuing. The possibility of further increase in winter in a few days has been expressed by the Meteorological Department.

A new system soon in the Bay of Bengal

A new system will be active in the Bay of Bengal soon, due to which many areas of Orissa including Bengal Jharkhand will be affected, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has told in its forecast that the weather will remain dry in Jharkhand for the time being. In Bengal, due to the rising wind from the Bay of Bengal, the weather may become slightly cold. For now, the summer season will continue. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of changing the weather in Odisha as well. The temperature will continue to drop. However, the knock of fog and haze has been ruled out.

Rain in these areas

  • Due to the Western Disturbance starting from November 9, West Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, North Punjab, North Haryana and Chandigarh will see scattered drizzle on Wednesday and Thursday i.e. on November 9 and 10, apart from this, the movement of clouds will continue over the capital.
  • Widespread rain and thundershowers may occur over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
    Scattered rain and thundershowers may occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala, Mahe and Lakshadweep. There is a possibility of scattered rain or drizzle over West Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and West Rajasthan.
  • Dry weather is likely to prevail over other areas, with very heavy rains possible at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from November 11 to November 13.
  • Widespread snowfall or rain is forecast over Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
  • Scattered rains are occurring over Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab. Similar weather conditions are likely over Rayalaseema and South Andhra Pradesh on November 11 and 12 and over Kerala on Sunday, November 13.
  • Dense fog may occur in the morning over North India. Isolated rainfall with chances of lightning is possible over Andhra Pradesh and South Interior Karnataka.

Weather system

  • A cyclonic circulation is now observed over southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining equatorial Indian Ocean at 4.5 km above mean sea level.
    It is expected to develop into a low pressure area over the same area during the next 24 hours.
  • This system is very likely to move northwestwards towards Tamil Nadu-Puducherry coasts from November 9 to November 11.
  • Whereas, a Western Disturbance is likely to affect the Western Himalayan region from Thursday, November 9.
  • Under the collective influence of these systems, widespread light/moderate rains with isolated heavy rain and thundershowers are expected over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from November 10 to November 13.
  • Similar situation is expected in Rayalaseema and South also. Andhra Pradesh 10 November and 11 November.

Weather will change in Madhya Pradesh Chhattisgarh

In Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab, due to the active western disturbance of rapid change in weather, the temperature will continue to drop. The weather will remain cloudy with haze and fog. Also it will be cloudy. Sunlight has been denied. Along with this the temperature will drop. Rain can be seen in many areas. While issuing a warning, the Meteorological Department has advised people to be alert.

Rain in southern states

Talking about the southern states, drizzle will continue to wreak havoc in some parts of Maharashtra including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu. In fact, there was a refusal to stop the rain in these areas for the time being. The Meteorological Department has said in its forecast that there will be a stop to the rain activities by Thursday of next week. However, once the rain activities stop, the movement of clouds will start once again. Along with this, the effect of a new Western Disturbance can also be seen on these states.
