Due to Western Disturbance, there is an increase in temperature in the agriculture belt of North India. The fall in temperature has started in Gujarat, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. The knock of fog is visible. Along with this, an alert of heavy rain has been issued in the southern states. Holidays have been declared in schools. Due to the icy winds, a drop in temperature will be seen in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, including the capital Delhi, while an alert for heavy rain has been issued in 8 states.

Amidst the changing weather every moment, the cold has increased in the morning and evening in North and Central India. A drop in temperature is being seen in many places. Snowfall continues in the hill state. In many places, fog has also started spreading in the morning and evening. Due to which the traffic system is completely affected.

Snow in the mountains

Traffic service has been disrupted due to the changing nature of snowfall and snowfall in the hilly areas. Rain alert was issued with snowfall in the mountains of Uttarakhand. Apart from this, rain alert has also been issued in Muzaffarabad, Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh today. Scattered snowfall and rain is being seen in the hilly areas of the Himalayas. The mercury has crossed zero in many areas.

Heavy rain in southern states

Talking about the states of South India, the Meteorological Department has issued an alert. Heavy rain alert has been declared in eight states for 4 to 5 days. Schools have been closed today on 29 November in 2 districts of Tamil Nadu. Schools in Keni and Virudhu Nagar districts remained closed today. It has been issued due to heavy rains.

A cyclonic circulation has formed over Southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas. The possibility of which has been expressed to be intense. Another cyclonic circulation is over East Arabian Sea. Due to which heavy rains are being seen in the southern states.

After which heavy rains were predicted till December 2 in other areas including Kerala, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu. The minimum temperature will drop to 16 degree Celsius. The maximum temperature can remain up to 25 degree Celsius.

Delhi: Temperature continues to drop

Talking about the capital Delhi, the temperature of Delhi continues to fall. The form of cold is changing in North India. Fog is being seen in the morning in Punjab Haryana Rajasthan including the capital Delhi. In Delhi today, the minimum temperature can reach 8 degree Celsius on Tuesday. For the next 2 days, the fog has increased in the sky in the morning.

Clear sky in Bihar

The sky has remained clear in Bihar. An increase in temperature is also being observed. Bright sunshine is coming out since morning. There is a possibility of drastic change in the weather in Bihar after December 2. At present, the weather will remain dry till December 2.

Thunderstorms rain in these areas

  • Fairly widespread rain and thundershowers are likely over South India.
    Thunderstorm very likely at a few places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Coastal Karnataka and South Interior Karnataka.
  • The air quality is likely to be ‘very poor’ over north India, central India and east India and ‘poor’ over west India and south India.
  • Widespread rain and thundershowers are possible over Kerala and Mahe.
  • Thundershowers are expected in Lakshadweep.
  • Dry weather in Uttar Pradesh
    Weather is going to be dry in Uttar Pradesh. Continuous changes are being seen in the weather in Lucknow. There may be drop in temperature. At present the temperature has reached 12 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature is 27 degree Celsius. Noida’s temperature was recorded at 4 degree Celsius. However, after December, there will be a huge change in the weather in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand.

Western Disturbance in Shimla from December 3

According to the Meteorological Center, Western Disturbance will be active in Shimla from December 3. There is a possibility of snowfall and rain in the high altitude area on 3rd and 4th December. Due to the active Western Disturbance, heavy snowfall will be seen in Uttarakhand Himachal. There will be a drastic drop in temperature. At present, the process of snowfall is going on. Vehicles have been restored at Shinkula Pass which was closed due to snowfall.

Cold weather in Rajasthan

Fluctuations in the cold weather are also being seen in Rajasthan. Shekhawati has recorded a minimum temperature drop of 2 degree Celsius. Night para is being recorded below 10 degrees in 12 cities. According to meteorology, the new weather system is not active. Till then there will be bright sunshine in Rajasthan. However, after December 3, there will be a change in the weather of Rajasthan. At present, the temperature in Bhilwara Alwar Pilani Sikar has reached below 10 degrees while Churu has recorded a night temperature of 5.2 degrees Celsius on Monday.

Cold havoc in Punjab

The havoc of cold has started in Punjab. The drop in temperature is being felt every day. The minimum temperature dropped to 5.6 degree Celsius in Jalandhar while Barnala recorded a minimum temperature of 6.8 degree Celsius. Fog is visible on the roads in the morning. Due to the activation of Western Disturbance till December 5, once again there will be a huge change in the weather in Punjab.

Weather system

  • A cyclonic circulation lies over the central parts of the Bay of Bengal in the lower tropospheric levels.
  • Due to which dry weather will prevail over most parts of India except South India including Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
  • Also high pressure systems will dominate the subcontinent,
  • Where due to eastern winds, there will be rain with thunder at different places.
  • Under the influence of this system, isolated light/moderate rain has been predicted over Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu and Lakshadweep during next 4-5 days.
