IMD Today Weather: The change in weather continues, a low pressure area remains in the Bay of South East Bengal. It has been forecast to move in the northwest direction and turn into a depression late night of 19 November. As soon as it turns into a depression, an orange alert has been issued for heavy rains in many states till November 25.

IMD Alert Weather Update: Rapid changes are being seen in the subject of weather. The temperature continues to drop over North and Central India. Heavy rain warning has been issued in 12 states. The low answer formed in the Bay of Bengal is likely to convert into a depression. Due to which rain will be seen in many states soon.

IMD said that the low pressure area over the central part of South Bay of Bengal will intensify further in the next 24 hours. It is expected to focus on the South West Bay of Bengal region. After which there is a possibility of very heavy rains in some states next week on 21 and 22 November. Orange and Yellow alerts have been issued for this.

Rain in southern states

Coastal Andhra Pradesh and adjoining North Tamil Nadu and Rayalaseema would see moderate rains beginning from the evening of 20 November. Along with this, there is a possibility of increase in the intensity of rain due to light to moderate rains. On November 22, there will be a change in the weather in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Royal Seema, West Bengal. Along with light to moderate rain, a warning of thunderstorm has also been issued.

Effects of depression

Due to the low pressure in the Bay of Bengal, the wind speed is expected to increase from 40 to 45 kmph to 55 kmph. On 19th November strong wind will be seen along and off the coast of Sri Lanka around Southwest and Bay of Bengal. Winds with a speed of 65 km per hour are expected in the southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal and Andhra Pradesh.

From 20 to 22 November, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Sri Lanka and Gulf of Mannar, Southwest Tamil Nadu, Gulf of West Bengal and from Andhra Pradesh to North Tamil Nadu coast and sea condition has been predicted to deteriorate on 22 November. Fishermen have been advised to stay away from the sea.

According to the Meteorological Department, scattered rain will be seen in the Andaman and Nicobar Deep group. There is a possibility of thunderstorm in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh. There is a possibility of rain in Kerala. The Western Special will intensify snowfall over Jammu Kashmir Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh on November 19.

Weather system active

Talking about other systems, a low pressure area and a cyclonic circulation is also over Sri Lanka.

It is expected to move west-northwest and gradually turn into a depression over the central part of the Bay of Bengal. Orange alert has been issued for heavy rains in many areas from 21 to 24 November.

Fog in Delhi

The process of changing the weather is rapidly visible in the capital. The minimum temperature settled at 9 degree Celsius while the maximum temperature also continued to decline.
