IMD Weather Alert: A period of drop in temperature continues in many states of Uttar Pradesh and North India including the capital Delhi. While the process of rain will continue in the states of South India. With this, three systems will be active till November 20. A low pressure area will form in the Bay of Bengal. Weather conditions in Delhi
According to the Meteorological Department, today the minimum temperature in the capital Delhi will be recorded at 12 degrees Celsius while the maximum temperature will be recorded at 27 degrees Celsius. There is a possibility of 2 to 3 percent decline in it in two days. After November 19, there can be a change in the weather in the capital. The sky will be cloudy, strong cold winds will blow.
Severe cold in UP
At present, the weather is normal in Uttar Pradesh. However, with the drop in temperature within two-three days, the cold will increase. A drop of two to three percent in temperature can be recorded within the next two to three days. At present the weather will remain dry. However, fog and mist continued to prevail in some areas. The quality of the air is also continuously being seen to be bad. In the months of January and February, it has been estimated that there will be severe cold in the whole of North India. According to the Meteorological Department, it is not cold yet because western disturbances are continuously becoming active. An increase in cold will be seen from the last week of November.
Bihar: 14 cold days this year
Tremors due to cold have started in many districts of Bihar. For the first time in the season, the minimum temperature has reached 14 degree Celsius. At the same time, the maximum temperature remains 28 degree Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, due to the effect of average cold, this time there is a possibility of 14 cold days and 42 days of fog in Bihar.
There has been a drastic drop in the temperature in Bihar since the first week of December. Along with this, the increase of cold will be seen. Due to formation of 42 to 85% La Nina condition from coming December to February, the temperature of Bihar will see a drop.
Weather changed in Rajasthan
The Rajasthani weather has changed, the harsh winter has started in Fatehpur, Rajasthan. Six per cent drop in temperature has been recorded continuously. With the effect of Western Disturbance reducing, the process of change in the weather has started. The fall in mercury continues in Shekhawati. The temperature has dropped below 7.5 degree Celsius in a single night on Tuesday.
At the same time, the knock of fog has started, according to meteorologists, due to western disturbance, the temperature was increasing due to clouds in Shekhawati and North Rajasthan. However, as soon as the Western Disturbance is over, now the temperature has started decreasing. Further drop in temperature will be observed in the coming 2 to 3 days. However, once again from November 19, Western Disturbance will be active.
Many roads closed due to snowfall in Himachal
Changes in the weather are being seen in Himachal, most of the roads have been closed due to snowfall in the state. The Meteorological Department has warned people to be alert for the next 7 days. , There is a possibility of snowfall on the higher peaks of Kinnaur. There will be clouds in the sky. The trend of decline in minimum and maximum temperatures will continue. The knock of sunshine will also be seen in some areas. Light rain has been recorded in Manali and its surrounding areas along with snowfall in tribal areas.
Rain in southern state
According to the Meteorological Department, there may be light to moderate rain in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Apart from this, the possibility of moderate and light rain has been expressed at other places, including heavy rains at 12 places in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. High waves will rise from the sea in South Andaman Sea and adjoining areas.
Due to Western Disturbance, the process of snowfall and rain will continue in the Western Himalayan regions today itself. The Meteorological Department has also issued an alert for rain and snowfall at many places in the high mountain region.
Rain alert in these parts
- There is a possibility of fog in the foothills of the mountains around Bengaluru in the morning and in the southern parts of the Western Ghats.
- Severe air pollution is expected in the NCR, northern plains and around Bengaluru.
- Thunderstorm accompanied with lightning very likely at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal.
- The IMD said in a bulletin that a cyclonic circulation lies over the south Andaman sea and neighborhood in the mid-tropospheric levels.
- Heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal from November 20.
- Severe weather conditions are possible with rain over most of South India and Maharashtra.
- Scattered thunder is possible over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
Weather system
- A fresh Western Disturbance will be active over Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan and Muzaffarabad from 18 to 20 November.
- Isolated or scattered light to moderate rain/snow is possible over Himachal Pradesh on 19th November.
- In another fresh system a cyclonic circulation over south Andaman Sea and neighborhood has formed a low pressure area over southeast Bay of Bengal and adjoining north Andaman Sea,
- This cyclonic circulation is expected to extend up to upper tropospheric levels.
- It is very likely to move west-northwestwards and gradually concentrate into a depression over central parts of south Bay of Bengal during next 48 hours.
