In some places, till January 30, the forecast of rain is being expressed. There may be light and heavy showers at some places, while there is a possibility of hailstorm at some places.

Snowfall is happening on the mountains
According to the Meteorological Department, there is snowfall in the high altitude areas of Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. Talking about Himachal Pradesh, cold wave intensified in the state due to light to moderate snowfall in the tribal areas and high altitude areas and intermittent light rains in the middle and lower hilly areas.
Officials said on Tuesday that there was 30 cm of snow at the top of Rohtang Pass, followed by 17.5 cm and 15 cm of snow at the North Portal and South Portal of Atal Tunnel respectively.
Thunderstorm, lightning likely
The local weather office has predicted thunderstorm, lightning and hailstorm at isolated places in the plains and lower hills of eight districts, except Kullu, Shimla, Kinnaur and Lahaul and Spiti, for Wednesday. It has also predicted rain till January 30 as another Western Disturbance will affect the region from January 27 night.
There is also a possibility of increasing cold
According to the Meteorological Department, there are chances of rain in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan and Western Uttar Pradesh today and tomorrow. Cold wave can also return again due to rain.
At the same time, according to private weather forecasting agency Skymet Weather, there are chances of heavy rain and snowfall in Ladakh, Jammu-Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand. Hailstorm may also occur in Jammu Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand, North Haryana, North Punjab and Western UP.
