HDFC Bank has issued a big update for its customers, the bank has made changes in many rules from today 1st December 2023, let us know about those rules in detail in the news.
Nowadays many banks are providing lounge access facility on credit cards . But if you have HDFC ‘s Regalia Credit Card and you are thinking of availing this facility in December, then let us tell you what changes the bank has made in the rules related to Lounge Access .
Due to these changes, which will be effective from December 1, 2023, the card holder will now have to fulfill certain conditions to avail the benefit of lounge access.
At least Rs 1 lakh will have to be spent
Under the new changes, Regalia credit card holders will need to spend at least Rs 1 lakh or more during a calendar quarter to avail the lounge facility. The quarters are categorized as January-March, April-June, July-September and October-December. This means that now Regalia card holders will get the facility to access the lounge only after making a transaction of Rs 1 lakh in a quarter.
Streamlined the process of taking benefits
The process of availing the benefit of lounge access has also been streamlined. Once transactions of Rs 1 lakh are done in a quarter, the card holder will have to visit the Regalia SmartBuy page and Lounge Benefits page on the bank’s website. Here, they can generate a lounge access voucher to claim this benefit.
Another change in the rules
Apart from this, the number of existing complimentary lounge access vouchers for HDFC Bank card holders has also been changed. Under the Quarterly Milestone Benefit, users can receive only two complimentary lounge access vouchers. However, apart from these two vouchers, airport lounge access will be dependent on the user’s credit card spend.
How to use lounge access voucher?
Spend Rs 1 lakh or more in a calendar quarter (January-March / April-June / July-September / October-December).
Once you meet the spending criteria, go to the Regalia SmartBuy page >> Lounge Benefits >> Lounge access voucher .
Click on “Generate Voucher” to receive the voucher through SMS /e-mail. To open the e-voucher received in
PDF format , click on the link given in the SMS /e-mail.
This e-voucher contains a QR code which needs to be scanned at the terminal for lounge access. It is important for HDFC Bank Regalia Credit Card holders to be aware of these changes in the rules, as charges will be levied on their statements after the date of their lounge visit and they will no longer earn any reward points for
