In many districts of Chhattisgarh, the Income Tax Department has taken action simultaneously. It is being told that this action has been taken against a group engaged in the business of coal transportation and other allied activities.

Raipur. The Income Tax Department has taken simultaneous action in many districts of Chhattisgarh. It is being told that the Income Tax Department has raided a group engaged in the business of coal transportation and other allied activities. According to media reports, many important documents are being said to be found in Raid. Wherever this action has taken place, armed forces have been deployed outside the houses and no one is allowed to go inside. The officers of the Income Tax Department are engaged in action for the last several hours.

Action taken in many districts The

raids were started from June 30, where the premises of a senior government official were also included in the search operation, during this period in Raipur as well as in Bhilai, Korba, Bilaspur, Raigarh and Surajpur. This action was started at more than 30 places. The Income Tax Department has raised the possibility of tax evasion. The Income Tax Department officials kept checking the documents for 2 days at these places. During this action, the Central Armed Forces personnel were deployed in all four directions outside the residence.

According to 

sources, during the search operation, many documents, loose sheets and digital evidence have come to the fore, which have been confiscated by the Income Tax Department. The methodology adopted by the group includes improper regular collection on coal transportation across the state of Chhattisgarh, which is also said to generate huge unaccounted income. It is being told that the confiscated evidence has also come to the fore indicating that the group has made unaccounted cash payments of huge rupees.

Apart from this, it is being told that according to the Income Tax Department, a large number of property agreements have been found during the search, which shows that huge undisclosed investments have been made in the acquisition of immovable properties, which appear to be benami in nature. The source of investment made in acquisition of 50 acres of immovable properties by the alleged owners belonging to the government official is being probed. There has been talk of getting more cash, jewelry and documents of many important properties than income. It is being told that the investigation is still going on.
