The surprising thing is that the laborer is not even aware of this bank account. A few days ago, when the Income Tax Department’s notice reached his home through registered post, the entire family including the laborer was shocked. A complaint about the matter has been made at Lalganj police station.

Shivprasad Nishad, resident of Bataniya, works as a laborer in Delhi. After getting information that Income Tax notice had reached home, he returned to the village. In this notice, while giving information about deposit of Rs 2 billion 21 crore 30 lakh 7 rupees in cash from his bank account, information has also been given about deduction of TDS of Rs 4 lakh 58 thousand 715 in the payment made as construction work.

Shivprasad is not able to understand which current account is there in his name, in which so much money has been deposited. Shivprasad, who grinds marble, expressed apprehension that his PAN card was lost in 2019.

With its help, someone might have committed fraud and opened an account in his name. In this regard, on contacting Lalganj police station, it was advised to get the details of the account and complain about the matter to the higher authorities.
