The Income Tax Department is refunding the money in a phased manner. But some such cases have also come to the fore in which people did not get as much money as they had claimed. This is because due to technical glitch in the new income tax portal, taxpayers are getting less tax refund.

The Income Tax Department is refunding the money in a phased manner. But some such cases have also come to the fore in which people did not get as much money as they had claimed. This is because due to technical glitch in the new income tax portal, taxpayers are getting less tax refund.

According to Abhishek Soni, CEO, Tax2win.in, there have been some cases in which the return form of the taxpayer is correct but less refund has come as compared to the claim. He expressed confidence that the Income Tax Department will soon remove this problem and people will be able to get their correct refund.

Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has once again extended the last date for filing Income Tax Return, giving relief to the taxpayers. Now returns can be filed till December 31. It is being told that due to the problems being faced on the income tax portal, the date of filing ITR has been extended till December 31.

File ITR Online

If you have not filed ITR yet, do so immediately. You can also file your return online sitting at home. Recently a new portal has been launched to file income tax returns. The Income Tax Department claims that the new portal is very easy for taxpayers. Taxpayers can easily file ITR on the new portal. It is a better experience for the taxpayers due to the chatbot in the new portal and the mobile app of the portal.
