In the order given by the Railway Board, it has also been asked to start the concessional fare scheme in trains from those zones of the Railways, in which less than 50 percent seats were filled during the last 30 days. This decision has been taken by the Railway Board when the reports of seats remaining vacant in Vande Bharat trains on some routes had come to the fore in the past days. It was said in the report that the seats in relatively short Vande Bharat trains are not being filled completely.

Plan to make Fare attractive

After this there was a discussion that the Railways is planning to make them attractive by reviewing the fares. In this sequence, it has been announced by the Railways to reduce the fare of AC chair car and executive class of all trains by 25 percent. Recently this information was also revealed that the fare of Vande Bharat trains like Indore-Bhopal, Bhopal-Jabalpur and Nagpur-Bilaspur is being reviewed. The seats in these trains are running empty to a large extent.

Only 21 percent seats could be filled

According to the official figures given by PTI till June, only 29 per cent seats were filled in the Bhopal-Indore Vande Bharat train. While 21 percent seats were reserved in the Indore-Bhopal train. In this train which travels for three hours, one has to pay Rs 950 for an AC chair car. And the fare for the executive chair car is Rs 1,525.
