Illegally used to sell tickets by making fake IDs

You will be surprised to know that Western Railway has seized e-tickets and travel-cum-reservation tickets worth about Rs 2.15 crore through this campaign. Sumit Thakur, Chief Public Relations Officer, Western Railway said in a press release, “RPF of Western Railway has constituted special teams of dedicated staff from RPF Crime Branch, Cyber ​​Cell and Detective Detective Wing of Divisions to conduct special operations against touts.

Subsequently, it was found that the touts were booking tickets using several fake IDs including some authorized IRCTC agents who used fake IDs and illegal software to issue tickets.

This is how action is taken against brokers
The Railways said that action is taken against these illegal touts under the legal provisions of Section 143 of the Railway Act. This action is done by the Railway Protection Forces. Let us tell you that there is no IPC section on these criminals, and this is the reason why they do not have fear. Actually, the touts are produced in the railway court, where they easily escape by paying a fine.
