If you are also thinking of going home on festivals like Durga Puja, Diwali or Deepawali and Chhath and you are not getting a confirmed ticket then you can book in these special trains.

Indian Railways provides many facilities for the convenience of the passengers. Along with this, special trains also run for passengers when needed. In view of this, Indian Railways has decided to run 82 special trains, so that people do not face any problems during the festive season and can easily get confirmed tickets. These 82 special trains will be run on different routes of the country.

If you are also thinking of going home on festivals like Durga Puja, Diwali or Deepawali and Chhath and you are not getting a confirmed ticket then you can book in these special trains. Railways has started booking in these 82 trains. Here you are being given information about the list and route of these trains, which will be run by the Railways on different routes.

Dadar-Ballia Special Train (26 pairs)

01025 Dadar Ballia Special Train will run thrice a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 3rd October and will run till 31st October. It will depart Dadar at 14.15 hrs and arrive Ballia at 01.45 hrs on third day.

Wherein 01026 special train will leave Ballia at 15.15 hrs on Wednesday, Friday and Sunday of the week from 5th October and will arrive Dadar Terminal at 3.35 hrs on the third day. This train will be operated till November 2.

Where will these trains stop: Kalyan, Nashik Road, Harda, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati Station, Bina, Lalitpur, Tikamgarh, Khargapur, Maharaj Chhatrasal Station Chhatarpur, Khajuraho, Mahoba, Banda, Chitrakootdham Karvi, Manikpur, Prayagraj Jn., Gyanpur Road, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Mau and Rasra will stop. It consists of 5 General Second Class coaches with 8 Sleeper Class, 3 AC-3 Tier, one AC-2 and 2 Guard bogie.

Dadar-Gorakhpur Special Train 4 days a week (36 services)

01027 special train will run from Dadar on every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from 1st October to 30th October. It will depart from Dadar at 14.15 hrs and reach Gorakhpur at 02.45 hrs on the third day.

01028 special train will run from Gorakhpur on every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 3rd October to 1st November. It will depart from Gorakhpur at 14.25 hrs and reach Dadar at 03.35 hrs on the third day.

Where will the train stop: Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Harda, Itarsi, Rani Kamlapati Station, Bina, Lalitpur, Tikamgarh, Kharagpur, Maharaj Chhatrasal Station Chhatarpur, Khajuraho, Mahoba, Banda, Chitrakoot Dham Karvi, Manikpur, Prayagraj Jn., Gyanpur Road, Varanasi, Aunrihar, Mau, Bhatni and Deoria Sadar will stop. It has 8 sleeper classes, three AC-3 tier, one AC-2 tier, 5 general bogies, with brake vans of 2 guards.

Mumbai Nagpur Weekly Superfast Special Train (4 Services)

01033 Special train will depart Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus station at 00.20 hrs on 22nd October and arrive Nagpur at 15.32 hrs on 29th October on the same day.

01034 special train will leave Nagpur at 13.30 hrs on 23rd October and will run till 30th October. This train will reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 04.10 hrs next day.

Where will the train stop: Dadar, Thane, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Manmad, Bhusaval, Malkapur, Shigaon, Akola, Murtizapur, Badnera, Dhamangaon and Wardha. This special train has two AC-2, 8 AC-3 tier, 4 sleeper class and five general bogies with guard compartment.

Mumbai-Malda Town Weekly Special (4 Services)

01031 SUPERFAST SPECIAL train will leave Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 11.05 hrs from 17th October and will run till 24th October. It will reach Malda Town at 00.45 hrs on 3rd day.

01032 Special train will leave Malda Town at 12.20 hrs from 19th October to 26th October and arrive Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus at 03.50 hrs on the third day.

Where will it be halted: Dadar, Kalyan, Nashik Road, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Pipariya, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj, Chivki, Mirzapur, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyay Jn, Buxar, Arrah, Patna, Bakhtiyarpur, Kiul, Abhaypur, Jamalpur, Sultanganj, Bhagalpur, Kahalgaon, Sahibganj, Barharwa and New Farakka. It will have 2 AC-2 Tier, 8 AC-3 Tier, 4 Sleeper Class bogies and 5 General Bogies.

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus-Gorakhpur Superfast Weekly Special (4 Services)

02105 special train will run till 19 October and 26 October. It will depart from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 05.15 hrs and reach Gorakhpur at 17.15 hrs, the next day.

02106 Special train will leave Gorakhpur at 03.00 hrs on 21st & 28th October and will reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 13.15 hrs, the next day.

Lokmanya Tilak Terminus – Samastipur Superfast Special Train (8 Services)

01043 Special train will leave Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 12.15 hrs on every Sunday and Thursday from 20 October to 30 October and will reach Samastipur at 21.15 hrs, the next day.

01044 Special train will leave Samastipur at 23.30 hrs on every Monday & Friday from 21st October to 31st October and will reach Lokmanya Tilak Terminus at 07.40 hrs on the third day.
