What if you miss the deadline to file ITR?

It is advised that you must file your ITR before the expiry of the deadline. If, in any way, you miss the deadline, you can still do so by paying a fine. ITR filing can be done both online and offline. Non-filing or late filing of ITR can attract a penalty of up to Rs 10,000. The penalty will be fixed on the individual’s earnings and also between the window in which the ITR is filed.
