Jio vs Airtel: Recharging your mobile every month can sometimes seem like a hassle, especially when the validity is only 28 or 30 days. On top of that, if you take an unlimited 5G plan every month, then the cost also becomes high. In such a situation, for those who use data daily and want the facility of long validity, annual prepaid plan is a wise option.

These plans not only save money but also offer unlimited data, free OTT subscription, unlimited calling and other benefits. In 2025, both Jio and Airtel are introducing several annual prepaid plans with a validity of 365 days. Let’s know who is better than whom in the best annual plans of these two companies.

Jio’s annual plans

Jio’s Rs 3,999 plan gives 2.5GB data per day, unlimited calling and 100 SMS. It also includes unlimited 5G data and JioHotstar Mobile/TV subscription for 90 days. Also, 50GB of JioAICloud storage is available for free.

Jio’s Rs 3,599 plan is also almost similar, 2.5GB daily data, free calling, 100 SMS, 5G access and 90 days of Hotstar Mobile access. It also includes 50GB cloud storage.

Airtel’s annual plans

Airtel’s Rs 3,999 plan also comes with 2.5GB data per day, unlimited calling, 5G data and 100 SMS. It offers 1 year of Disney+ Hotstar Mobile subscription and a year’s membership of Perplexity Pro AI. Along with this, users also get free access to hellotunes and Airtel Xstream app (Xstream premium is not included).

The Airtel plan of Rs 3,599 is a little lighter, it offers 2GB data per day, unlimited calling and 5G along with the same AI subscription and hellotunes features.

The Airtel plan of Rs 2,249 is for those who do not need data daily. It offers 30GB data, unlimited calling, 3,600 SMS, free hellotunes and Perplexity Pro AI membership for the whole year.

The plan of Rs 1,849 is only for call and SMS users, data is not included in it. However, calling, 3,600 SMS and AI membership are also available here.

Which is better?

If you use more data and also need cloud storage, then Jio’s Rs 3,999 or Rs 3,599 plan is perfect for you. These come with high-speed data and advanced features like JioAICloud. Airtel’s plans have more variety, whether you want OTT subscription or just calling, there is an option for every need.
