And then the accusations started flying. Saxena is basically pinning 11 years of toxic air and the filthy state of the Yamuna river directly on the AAP government’s inaction.

In the letter, Saxena claims the previous administration spent more time playing the blame game than fixing the actual dust. Specifically, he says they blamed Punjab and the Central government while letting Delhi choke.
And then there’s the kicker: he alleges that AAP basically stopped holding real cabinet meetings. Decisions were reportedly made through “circulation” instead of actual debates. Saxena says this shows a total lack of sensitivity toward the people living in the city.
The L-G is also defending the new BJP government, which has only been in power for 10 months. He says they are busy trying to “undo the wrongs” of the last decade. Meanwhile, the Yamuna river is still a mess despite years of promises to clean it up. Saxena noted that year after year, those claims just fell flat.
AAP hasn’t officially hit back yet. But let’s be real, a 15-page “slam” letter usually means the gloves are completely off.
