A big decision has been taken in the Union Cabinet meeting. Now the subsidy has been increased in Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The subsidy has been increased from Rs 200 to Rs 300. The Central Government Cabinet met on Wednesday. In the meeting, the government has decided to increase the subsidy amount for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

Let us tell you that the Central Government has announced to give an additional subsidy of Rs 100 on LPG cylinder. Let us tell you that at the end of last August, general customers in Delhi were getting domestic cylinder for Rs 1103. After this, the government made a big cut in it and made it cheaper by Rs 200 and the price of the cylinder became Rs 903. Whereas customers coming under Ujjwala scheme were getting domestic cylinder for Rs 703. Now after the new cut, the price of the cylinder has become Rs 603.

These people will get benefit

The beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme will get this benefit. In this way the price of the cylinder has now become Rs 603. Let us tell you that till now the government was giving subsidy of Rs 200 on gas cylinder to the beneficiaries of Ujjwala scheme. Now it has been increased by Rs 100 more. With this the total new subsidy has become Rs 300.

Gas and stove available for free

Let us tell you that Ujjwala scheme was started by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in May 2016. The beneficiaries of the scheme are given free gas cylinder and gas stove for the first time. Union Minister Anurag Thakur told reporters that agencies around the world have praised the Ujjwala scheme.

This has brought a big change in the lives of women. So far, 9.60 crore gas connections have been distributed under this scheme. 75 lakh more connections will be given in the next three financial years. Poor families will benefit from this. The first refill and stove is given free. Oil marketing companies bear its expenses.

Union Minister Anurag Thakur informed about increasing the amount of subsidy for the beneficiaries of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana was started with the aim of providing LPG gas cylinders to rural and deprived families. Crores of people have benefited from this scheme.

In fact, there was a large population in India, which used fuels like coal, wood, cow dung cakes etc. for cooking. Now, under the government’s Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, they are being provided gas cylinders and stoves.
