There has been relief in gas cylinder prices today. A decision has been taken to reduce the prices of gas cylinders before the elections. There has been a break today on the trend of rising prices for 3 consecutive months. On April 1, 2024, the price of gas cylinder has been reduced by Rs 30.50 per cylinder. However, this reduction has been made on commercial gas cylinders.

Earlier in March, the prices had increased by Rs 25.50 per cylinder. At the same time, there was an increase of Rs 14 in February and Rs 1.50 in January. However, there has been no change in the price of domestic LPG cylinder. Domestic LPG prices remain the same.

Where did gas cylinders become cheaper?

According to IOCL, the price of 19 kg LPG cylinder in Delhi has become Rs 1764.50 from today. At the same time, earlier this cylinder was available for Rs 1795. Apart from this, the price of gas cylinder in Kolkata has now become Rs 1879 after deduction.

At the same time, earlier this cylinder was available for Rs 1911. Now this cylinder has become priced at Rs 1717.50 in Mumbai, earlier it was priced at Rs 1749. Commercial LPG cylinder will now be available in Chennai for Rs 1930.00.

Changed rules related to insurance

From today there has been a big change in the insurance sector also. The surrender value on policy surrender from April 1 will depend on the number of years in which you surrendered the policy. Insurance regulator IRDAI has decided that from April 1, insurance companies will issue all insurance policies in electronic form.

If we talk about domestic LPG cylinder, there is no change in the price of 14.2 KG domestic gas cylinder. It is available for Rs 803 in Delhi, Rs 829 in Kolkata, Rs 802.50 in Mumbai and Rs 818.50 in Chennai.

Air fuel also became cheaper

OMCs have also reduced the prices of aviation fuel. There has been a relief of about Rs 502.91/kg in the prices of aviation fuel. At the same time, last month the prices had increased by Rs 624.37/kg litre. New prices of air fuel have also come into effect from today.

Buying cars becomes expensive

Buying electric vehicles has become expensive from today. The government has stopped the subsidy available under Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Electric Vehicles (FAME-II). Under this scheme, subsidy up to Rs 22,500 was given.

New tax regime

The government had given the option of new tax regime in 2020. No deductions of any kind are applicable in the new tax regime.
