Mumbai News: A special facility has been started for the passengers inside the metro in Mumbai. 

Under which now passengers will be able to get metro tickets on WhatsApp sitting at home. For this, they just have to high text on WhatsApp number 9670008889 or scan the QR.

Mumbai News: There is great news for the passengers traveling by metro inside Mumbai Metro has started a special project to give additional convenience to the passengers, under which passengers will now be able to get metro tickets on WhatsApp from the comfort of their homes.

MMOPL has launched e-ticketing service through WhatsApp on R-Infra’s Mumbai Metro-1 as part of green initiative to promote e-ticketing. According to MMOPL, this is the first service to be introduced in the Mass Rapid Transit System all over the world.

After this facility, now passengers traveling on Ghatkopar-Andheri-Versova Metro-1 can get home meeting tickets on their WhatsApp number. This will expand the ‘Paper QR Tickets’ available at the ticket counters.

To get Metro e-tickets on WhatsApp, passengers will have to first high text the WhatsApp number 9670008889 or scan the QR. E-ticket will be available even on sharing of One Time Password at the ticket counter.

Tickets can be used within 20 minutes from booking time. If passengers do not use this ticket within this time limit, then it will be canceled automatically. About 3 lakh passengers travel on the Metro-1 corridor every day.

Passengers increasing on Metro 2A and 7

Let us tell you that Mumbai’s second Metro 2A and 7 has also been started this month. Now the number of passengers on this metro is gradually increasing.

At present 150 ferries are taking place on this metro daily. It is noteworthy that on April 2, the metro in the western suburb was inaugurated by Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray.

According to MMMOCL, the number of passengers traveling on both the metro routes has crossed 2 lakhs and the number of passengers is continuously increasing. On the second day of the inauguration of Metro 2A and 7, 60 thousand people traveled.
