Invest every month

Rs 75,000 per month is an adequate pension package. With this money, a person can easily live after retirement. The NPS has four asset classes – equity, corporate debt, governance bonds and alternative investment funds. An investor has two options to invest money – Active and Auto Choice. In these, there is less risk than equity and more returns than PPF and Fixed Deposit (FD).

However, on maturity, the subscriber cannot withdraw the entire amount from the corpus. He has to invest 40 percent of the fund in an annuity plan of a life insurance company.
