Petrol Diesel Prices: Changes in the prices of petrol and diesel released by government oil companies are visible in many cities today. Due to increase in the price of crude oil in the global market, retail prices of oil have also increased.
After a fall in the prices of crude oil, today again a rise of more than 1 dollar is visible. Its effect is also visible on the prices of petrol and diesel released by government oil companies on Friday morning.
Today there has been a change in oil prices in all the states of the country including UP, Bihar and Punjab. However, even today the prices remain stable in the four metros of the country like Delhi-Mumbai.
According to government oil companies, today petrol in Amritsar, Punjab became costlier by 18 paise to Rs 98.44 per litre. Here diesel also increased by 17 paise and is being sold at Rs 88.76 per litre. In UP Meerut, petrol has become costlier by 23 paise to Rs 96.46 a liter and diesel has become costlier by 22 paise to Rs 89.64 a litre.
Apart from this, in Gaya city of Bihar, petrol has become cheaper by 30 paise and has reached Rs 108.31 per litre, while diesel is being sold with a fall of 27 paise at Rs 95.04 per litre.
Increase in crude oil prices
Crude oil, which became cheap in the global market a day ago, is again rising by more than $1 today. The price of Brent crude has increased by about $1 to $82.86 per barrel. The rate of WTI has also increased today and reached the price of $ 78.11 per barrel.

– Delhi petrol Rs 96.72 and diesel Rs 89.62 per liter
– Mumbai petrol Rs 106.31 and diesel Rs 94.27 per liter
– Chennai petrol Rs 102.63 and diesel Rs 94.24 per liter
– Kolkata petrol Rs 106.03 and diesel Rs 92.76 per liter
New prices released in these cities
– In Amritsar, petrol has become Rs 98.44 and diesel Rs 88.76 per litre.

New rates are released every morning at 6 am
The prices of petrol and diesel change every day at 6 am. New rates come into effect from 6 am onwards. After adding excise duty, dealer commission, VAT and other things to the price of petrol and diesel, its price becomes almost double the original price. This is the reason why the prices of petrol and diesel appear so high.
